For the final respects, the mortal remains of Nand Kishore Goenka have been placed at his residence on A Road, Vasant Sagar, Marine Drive. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Goenka Udyan in Agroha, Hisar, Haryana.
On Tuesday morning, July 14, 2026, his mortal remains will be transported to Haryana by chartered aircraft and brought to his ancestral city of Hisar. The body will be kept for public homage at his residence, 166, Goenka House, Krishna Mandi, Hisar. The last rites will be performed at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Goenka Udyan in Agroha Dham, where his mortal remains will be consigned to the five elements according to Hindu rituals. His wife was also cremated at the same sacred site in Agroha Dham.
Born on September 28, 1930, Nand Kishore Goenka was a dedicated volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. During his association with the organization, he held several important responsibilities. Although he remained away from business activities, he devoted his life to social service and cow welfare. He consistently worked to unite the Vaishya community and played a significant role in the development of Agroha, the historic capital associated with Maharaja Agrasen and the trading community.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed grief over the demise of Nand Kishore Goenka. In his condolence message, he said that he was deeply saddened by the passing of the father of former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and Essel Group Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra. He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family and well-wishers to endure the loss.
Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament from the Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, Praveen Khandelwal, also expressed condolences. He described the news of Nand Kishore Goenka's demise as deeply painful and prayed for the departed soul to attain eternal peace while extending heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family.
The passing of Nand Kishore Goenka marks the end of a life devoted to social service, cultural values, community development, and public welfare. His contributions to strengthening the Vaishya community, promoting cow welfare, and supporting the development of Agroha will continue to be remembered by those associated with his lifelong service.
